Dylan Fontaine is a wealthy young CEO of his father’s multinational mining company. His marriage is failing. His wife, Alexa, hopes an exotic private cruise on the Nile through the soul of ancient Egypt will serve as a second honeymoon and will fix their relationship. Alexa invites former college friend Amber and her husband Jake. Jake and Dylan were close friends at school despite their different backgrounds. The cruise boat owner, Captain Amaros, docks unexpectedly to pick up two strangers. Dylan becomes fixated on a stunning young woman, Safiya, who boards the boat with her partner Darius.
During the journey, Safiya tempts Dylan. Her flirting evolves into a stolen kiss and Dylan’s heart is further stolen when he discovers Darius is physically abusive to Safiya. Soon, Dylan and Safiya are thrown into each other’s arms, but Dylan, still keen to save his marriage, pulls away from the forbidden relationship. But, with Safiya’s knowledge, using a hidden camera Darius edits the footage of the encounter to make it appear Dylan has been unfaithful. For $3 million worth of Dylan’s family diamonds, Darius will refrain from posting the video on Fox news.
After obtaining the cache of diamonds using his father’s connections, Dylan secretly meets Safiya. She tearfully apologizes for her part in the blackmail scheme. To ensure her compliance, Darius has denied access to her young daughter, now living in Cairo. She reveals to Dylan that Alexa and Jake are lovers.
Finally, back on the boat Dylan attempts to set conspirators against each other by telling Darius that Jake has agreed to kill him for the diamonds. In this climactic scene, the fate of each is decided. Will Dylan succeed in escaping the blackmail plot and help Safiya, or will they both suffer a violent end at the hands of Darius or Jake?
