Parallel Lives

A 3-episode documentary series explores the often amazing similarities and parallels between famous Western historical figures and great personalities of Asian history, many of whom were almost contemporaries, while living in different, unconnected worlds. The documentary takes a look at the less known Asian historical figures whose deeds are comparable to the achievements and historical impact of their better known western counterparts. Asian and Western figures such as Alexander the Great and Qin Shi Huang, Al Capone and Du Yue Sheng, last but not least Charles Martel and An Lushan are being compared with emphasis on their similarities. These human stories have significant contemporary resonance and are presented in a colorful and dynamic format. Click here to see the trailer!
