Vernie

This is a story of two best friends, Kristi and Sean, and their attempt to cope with Sean’s terminal cancer. Kristi is a corporate executive while Sean stayed back in the old neighborhood to open a coffee shop. After finding out the truth about his illness, Sean asks Kristi to have his baby. She agrees to do this for him as long as he continues to fight the cancer so he can be around for the birth of their child. After becoming pregnant, romantic feelings begin to further complicate their relationship. Tensions peak as Kristi tries to draw Sean closer, while his fear of dying forces him to push Kristi away. They finally come to terms with their situation and are able to let go of the selfishness that got them so far away from the beautiful friendship they once had. Click here to see the trailer!
