The Thawing of Ice (La Fonte des Glaces)

Louise, a parole officer unlike any other, skillfully operates an experimental rehabilitation wing for murderers. A new inmate in her care is suspected of killing her mother. Riddled with doubt, Louise embarks on a mission that quickly goes beyond her. How far will she go to prevent him from killing again? As the investigation unfolds, she discovers hidden truths that shake her belief in the justice system. Tensions rise, and, risking her life, Louise must confront her own past to make sense of the present.
