To Kill a Wolf

In a modern re-imagining of Little Red Riding Hood, a social pariah discovers a teenage runaway in the Oregon Wilderness and does his best to help her find a way home – a troubling exploration of young woman’s trauma and redemption for his lost soul.

On the fringes of the Oregon wilderness, two strangers are brought together when a reclusive Woodsman (Ivan Martin) discovers a teenage runaway, Dani (Maddison Brown) hypothermic and barely conscious in the woods.

After saving Dani from the elements, The Woodsman begrudgingly agrees to return the teen to her grandmother. As they make their way across the state, they forge an unexpected bond, delving into their pasts and testing their willingness to trust one another.

Ultimately, with each other’s help, they find the courage to face the demons that haunt them and discover a way to start anew.

“A tight, restrained, worthwhile first feature from a cast and crew whose next jaunt into the woods will be surely worth sharpening our teeth for” – RogerEbert.com

“…a sensitive portrait of guilt, of the difference between people who simply want to bury it and those that are consumed by it. Her sympathy for those caught in its warm, familiar pain is what fills To Kill a Wolf with life.” – Rotten Tomatoes (100% Tomatometer)

“A standout combination of genres, blurring the lines between reality and fairy tales in a way that’s just as unnerving as it is impressive.” – Laud and Clear
